Something Delicious and Quick!
Preparation time: 10 minutes, Cooking time 1 Hour, makes One loaf approx 10-14 Slices depends how chunky you cut them!

Treasure hunt
1 Cup of sugar
50 gr of Butter
1 bag of Vanilla sugar
1 Pinch of Salt
2 Eggs
1/2 cup of Milk
1 3/4 cup of Flour
1 teaspoon of Baking powder
4 Ripe brown Bananas if your feeling wild 7
Preheat oven at 180°C
A Loaf pan width 11cm , length 27 cm, depth 6cm
Puzzling The Banana Bread
🍌 Start off by washing your hands and removing your jewellery. I always wash the cake pan prior to using it, and dry it with a paper towel. I then re-use the same paper towel by applying a little bit of butter on it to coat the pan with a bit of grease , so that the cake won't stick.
🍌Get a large bowl and mix the Sugar, Vanilla Sugar Butter and Salt.
I like to use my hands so you can make sure the butter and sugar really mix properly.
You want to make sure your butter has been sitting out of your fridge for a bit, so it's nice and soft and easy to work with. I squeeze the butter and the sugar between my fingers to incorporate the two. Eventually it will look like wet sand.
🍌Once this is mixed, add two eggs and mix till the batter is smooth.
🍌Add 1/2 cup of milk and mix
🍌Add 1 3/4 cup of Flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
°The more flour you add the more bread like your banana bread will be like.
You can use 2 cups of flour if you use 7 bananas.
🍌Finally add your bananas! you can mush them prior to adding them to the batter or like I did in the video whole and crush them as you go... Pop in oven at 180°C for 1 hour!
I like to use anywhere between 4-7 bananas as it makes the cake super dense and flavourful!
I usually make banana bread with very ripe bananas they contain much more flavour!
If you want to go wild you can add the following ingredients to your cake!
🍌chocolate/caramel cubes,
🍌Crushed hazelnuts, Almonds, Pecan nuts, Walnuts
🍌Grated Carrots with cinnamon, nutmeg spice
🍌Dried figs
The list can go on for days.. use a combination or your favourite ingredients and your imagination and see what you can come up with !
🍌Let the cake cool for 45 minutes and use a spatula to unstick the sides, it should pop out of your pan easily!
I truly recommend hawaiian banana bread, if you are ever travelling through that side of the world, the one's they sell on the sides of the roads are the best I have ever tasted!
🍌You may have noticed that this is the same recipe as the cupcakes!
This cake recipe can be applied for apple cakes, carrot, blueberry, apricot cakes... any fruit cake! I have been using it for years and it has never failed me, its really simple, quick and easy to whip up for any event or picnic or hike that you want to prepare a wee snack for !
